STARLED1 EVO is the evolution of the first medical examination lamp of STARLED Series created by ACEM Medical Company (Division of ACEM S.p.A.), Italian manufacturer leader who has been working in the medical lighting field for many years.

STARLED 3 EVO PLUS
A further evolution for the new STARLED3 EVO PLUS with an improved technology and design assuring optimal performance at low consumption.

The lamp, completely digital, is controlled by microprocessors and has a new I-Sense control panel which grants an extremely simple and ergonomic way of regulating and visualizing light intensity, ENDO function (light up) as well as the selection of the three lights that form it. Based on the needs, it can be used with one, two or three of its lights.

Thanks to the manual commands in the central handle, STARLED3 EVO PLUS gives the possibility of focusing the light beams with a simple clockwise or anti-clockwise rotation of the handle. The handle has a simple system to insert and remove, granting fast remotion and subsequent sterilization.

The high LED technology used by ACEM grants a light source in the OR without infrared rays to eliminate the heat under the lamps domes hence avoiding the temperature to increase in the surgical area or on the surgeons head.

The high number of LEDs represent the news of the OT-STARLED 7 which generates a total of seventy led, a light spot of 21 cm at 1 metre with a high level of illumination, 160.000 lux (self limited) for a lasting duration of up to 50.000 hours.

ACEM has invented and installed on the OT-STARLED 7 a Luminosity Adapter which, thanks to the obstacle detectors can localize the head, shoulders and hands of the surgeon. In an autonomous way, the LEDs covered by the obstacles get dimmer and the free areas intensify their light so as to

obtain a homogeneous and shadowless light providing stability and reliability on the operating field on any situation.

OT-STARLED 7 is characterized by an innovative command system, I – SENSE® which grants the lamp the maximum comfort and functionality. Its symbols are simple and clear in the I – SENSE® command system, precise, functional and it can memorize the parameters which simplify change between these (standard, auto, ambient).

The design of the OT-STARLED 7 has been studied to improve work in the OR with its practical and comfortable handling thanks to its lateral and central handle, this later is removable and autoclavable. OT-STARLED 7 is also compatible with laminar flows in the operating room.

OT-STARLED 7 has a STANDARD video camera (ACS optional or ACHD if requested) inside the central handle, or it can be placed on a separate arm. The operating room illumination system OT – SYSTEM, thanks to its modular design can expand its multimedia possibilities in the OR (configuration of up to four arms) and can be produced in different combinations, such as the OT DOUBLE (composed by two OT-STARLED) or with a main lamp and a satellite (OT- STARLED 7 associated to the STARLED 5 or the STARLED 3 EVO PLUS). The OT – STARLED and STARLED 5 have synchronized controls (optional) to simplify their use, reduce response time and they offer the possibility of being managed by a single operator.

OT-STARLED 7 , thanks to the AVSM system (Acem Video System Management) is compatible with all the video cameras and monitors of the ACEM range.

STARLED 5
STARLED 5 is part of the Starled Series and as the whole range is made with LED technology (light emitting diodes), an extraordinary light source which is becoming more and more popular for its reduced dimensions, duration in time, low energy consumption, high performance, lack of heat and excellent colour rendering index. Moreover, this is proposed as the “light of the future” for its characteristics of flexibility of use and sustainability in a series of different sectors, especially in the medical one. The innovative LED technology used in the STARLED 5 guarantees a light beam without IR infrared rays hence eliminating heat under the lamp and on the surgeons heads.

The 50 LEDs which make the STARLED 5 are circularly positioned around the handle, generating a light spot of 21 cm. at 1 meter with a high illumination level of 135.000 lux (160.000 lux optional) for a steady life cycle of 50.000 hours. STARLED 5 guarantees a colour rendering index of 95 (CRI) with a colour temperature of 4.900 °K. These two values allow to reproduce the exact chromatic scale of the colours of the human body.

In order to achieve a correct illumination on the surgical field and based on the needs of the surgeons, STARLED 5 can produce a focused illumination as well as a uniform ambient one thanks to a manual focusing system made by the central handle of the lamp. The easy to grip handle can be extracted and autoclaved, and if requested, it can contain a fixed focus or zoom video camera for a precise and constant recording of the intervention.

STARLED 5 combines high technology with a practical and functional design and thanks to its lateral handles it is comfortable and light to move.

Besides, its design takes into consideration sanitary requirements of the OR. For this reason it has been manufactured with a smooth and resistant material that makes cleaning quick, easy and complete. The lamp shape assures visual comfort and is particularly suitable for laminar flows hence avoids obstructing air flows inside the operating room reducing considerably the turbulence areas.

STARLED 5 is suitable for minimally invasive surgery for it comes with the new LIGHT-UP® system, a technology invented by ACEM that, thanks to its particular beams of light coming from the upper part of the lamp allows to have a perfect visualization of the surgical field, a correct visual comfort and the right vision of the monitor. These conditions are ideal for the preparation and treatment during the operation, monitoring of the patient and microscope operations.

STARLED 5 can be integrated (on demand) with a video camera in the central handle of the lamp (or on a separate arm) and is compatible with all ACEM lamps of the STARLED Series.
