Zenteris GmbH, originally JENOPTIK Instruments GmbH, was established in 2005 as a developer and manufacturer of biophotonic instruments. After having successfully developed a first generation of instruments APPROVE-B® for the detection of safety-related hazardous biological agents designed for civilian and military use, Zenteris decided to create a new corporate identity and broaden its field of expertise in order to better meet the needs of its target market and expand to medical market.
In response to the wishes of our customers, our product portfolio was expanded to not only include the manufacture of instruments but also the manufacture of biological assays and other consumables required by our products. With its new corporate identity, Zenteris GmbH has evolved into a provider of complete solutions for the multiplex detection of safety-related hazardous biological agents with a focus on ease-of-use, capable of meeting the needs of today’s market.
We customize our platform system and consumables for diagnostic applications and related areas. Such systems are validated and sold as complete solutions by our assay partners according to their respective business models. For distribution and marketing of our products in the area of biosafety, we cooperate with companies who are well-established in the corresponding markets and who want to complement their product portfolio with the innovative biomolecular detection systems of Zenteris GmbH. The validation of these products is carried out in cooperation with major national and European laboratories and institutions.

APPROVE-B® System.
With the APPROVE-B® System, Zenteris® provides the most advanced technology available today for fully-automated, parallel detection of multiple hazardous biological substances using immunological and nucleic acid-based techniques, thereby completely eliminating the need for complex and costly laboratory diagnostics. The APPROVE-B® System maximizes sensitivity, selectivity, and reliability while minimizing the amount of time required to carry out an analysis. Analysis results are presented to the user in such a way that required actions can be carried out without any special knowledge of biology.
APPROVE-B® Analysis System
The compact and durable APPROVE-B® Analysis System carries out a fully-automated analysis in 30-60 minutes.
The steps of the analysis process in detail:
•Specific amplification and fluorescence labeling of sample DNA (NAT)
•Hybridization of sample DNA with capture molecules, or binding of labeled detection antibody and capture antibody with the sample antigen
•Image acquisition and image analysis
•Display of the results
